Huerta de Albalá Taberner No 1 2014 is a full-bodied Syrah-based red blend from in Arcos de la Frontera in Cádiz, southern Spain. A blend of 80% Syrah, 17% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Sauvignon aged for 24 months in French oak barrels, Taberner No 1 is a prime example of the fine, ageworthy red wines increasingly being produced in this corner of Spain more commonly associated with fortified wines and wines under flor. Full and rich with an abundance of spiced red fruit, mocha, and meaty notes, along with lively acidity and fine tannins.
