The 2019 Saint-Pierre has a quintessential Saint-Julien nose, very well defined with blackberry, brown spices and cedar unfurling with each swirl. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, fresh and full of tension. Good mid-weight depth, grippy yet fresh, with an appealing corpulence on the finish. Yummy! Château Saint-Pierre is a 4ème Cru Classé estate in the heart of St-Julien, Bordeaux. Produced from mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, the wines are renowned for their wonderful fragrance but also their deep, cassis-driven fruit. The 2019 is a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon and 21% Merlot with an opulent, sweet spiced nose, followed by a palate of dark fruits and spicy oak.
