St Nicholas Abbey 12 Year Old is an aged rum from the St Nicholas Abbey distillery in St Peter, Barbados. The 12-year-old is bottled straight from the cask, by hand, and is presented in an elegant decanter featuring an etching of the historic St Nicholas estate. Honeyed, oak-spiced and exceptionally well-balanced, it is corked with a mahogany stopper which pays tribute to the first plantings on Cherry Tree Hill on the 400-acre estate more than 250 years ago. Mothballed in 1947, St Nicholas Abbey was purchased by architect Larry Warren in 2006. The distillery`s relaunch was accompanied by the release of eight-, 10-, 12- and 15-year-old rums from casks supplied by Foursquare. The first St Nicholas Abbey estate-distilled white rum was then launched in 2012.
