Argiano Solengo 1997 is a mature-vintage Supertuscan red blend from the Montalcino region of Tuscany. Argiano produces concentrated, elegant Brunellos and Supertuscan blends with long ageing potential. With a winemaking history extending as far back as the middle of the 17th century, the estate has been central to the promotion of the Montalcino region - it was instrumental, for instance, in founding the Consorzio del vino Brunello di Montalcino in 1967. "Dark ruby red. Aromas of plum, milk chocolate and mandarin peel. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and lots of ripe fruit. Long and rich. Balanced and silky. Beautifully proportioned."
