A blend of two different whiskies made to two distinct mashbills. One of the two whiskies in the blend is aged in re-charred oak barrels, which means it cannot be labelled as Bourbon. The nose is light and elegant with green apple, buttery popcorn and a touch of dark chocolate. The palate has crushed barley, cedar wood and dried ginger before a rounded finish with a touch of herbal freshness. A great release from Smooth Ambler, a great dram for those who like the big oak of traditional Bourbon dialled down a little.
