Sine Qua Non Entre Chien et Loup 2015 is a full-bodied, barrel-aged white blend from the iconic Sine Qua Non winery in the Central Coast region of California. Established by husband-and-wife team Manfred and Elaine Krankl in Ventura County in 1994, Sine Qua Non specialises in Rhône-style red and white blends which have developed a cult following among critics and California wine lovers alike. From year to year, Manfred Krankl sources fruit from a wide variety of growers, meaning that the winery`s output is frequently changes. The 2015 Entre Chien et Loup is a blend of 44% Chardonnay, 40% Roussanne, 8% Petite Manseng and 8% Viognier and was matured in a combination of concrete eggs, stainless steel, and used and new French oak barrels. "It opens with a positively electric nose of ripe apricots, pink grapefruit and green mango with notions of candied ginger, honeycomb, allspice and baking bread. Medium to full-bodied, the palate has a wonderfully satiny texture and incredible freshness, cutting through the dense tropical and stone fruit layers, finishing with epic length and many layers of savoury and spice notions."
