Sine Qua Non Dark Blossom Grenache 2011

Sine Qua Non is the creation of pioneering winemaker, Manfred Krankl, and is a world-famous cult winery revered for producing miniscule quantities of unique Rhône-inspired wines using estate-grown and purchased fruit from some of the greatest vineyards across the Central Coast. 2011 was a complex vintage for many but Krankl’s Dark Blossom releases really showcase the extraordinary fruit quality and exceptional winemaking skill at SQN. Composed of 75% Grenache, 12.5% Syrah, 11.5% Mourvedre and 1% Roussanne, this is a remarkably pure-fruited, perfumed and complex wine. Beautifully open-knit and seamless on the palate, there is great early-drinking appeal here but decent medium-term cellaring potential.
