The 1997 Silver Oak Napa Valley is a blend of 93%Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petite Verdot, capturing the richness of an outstanding vintage. The nose is immediately expressive, with layers of ripe cherry, cassis, and dried rose petals, lifted by hints of cedar, vanilla, and a touch of black pepper. The palate is structured yet generous, with supple tannins framing its lush dark fruit core, while subtle spice and a lingering savoury edge add depth.
