Sierra Cantabria Rioja Reserva 2016 is a full-bodied red wine from the Rioja region of Spain. With cellar activities overseen by well-respected Rioja winemaker Marcos Eguren – Tim Atkins MW ‘Winemaker of the Year 2023’ – Sierra Cantabria produces this 2016 Reserva Rioja from 30+ year old Tempranillo vines. The wine is matured for 18 months in 50% French and 50% American oak barrels. Winemaker note. "Intense cherry. Toasty nose of oak with light traces of fine reduction (tobacco and cedar), ripe fruit with varietal expression, Light floral traces (petals). Rounded palate, flavoursome, elegant, spicy and toasty back aroma."
