Schramsberg Vineyards has a rich history dating back to its founding in 1862 by Jacob Schram. The winery was revitalized in the 1960s by Jack and Jamie Davies, who focused on producing exceptional traditional method sparkling wines. Schramsberg J Schram is one of the winery`s most prestigious cuvées, named in honour of the founder Jacob Schram. The 2011 vintage is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir sourced from select cool-climate vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Marin counties. On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of green apple, pear, and citrus zest, accompanied by delicate hints of brioche, almond, and white flower. The palate offers a harmonious balance of vibrant acidity and fine, persistent bubbles, with notes of lemon meringue, honey, and toasted bread, complemented by a subtle minerality.
