A powerful blend made up of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Carménère and 10% Merlot. The bouquet is lively and fragrant, with peppery florals, scents of cherry and blueberry, plus hints of graphite and cedarwood. A silky texture runs across a core of juicy acids and minerals, making for a ripe yet toned-down expression. Tannins are subtle and more evident towards the finish. Considered by wine critics to be a ‘classic in the making’, the San Leonardo 2015 has some great ageing potential to develop even further, so this might be one for your cellar.
