Weingut Gernot Heinrich is a fully certified biodynamic estate in the town of Gols, in the Austrian sub-region of Neusiedlersee (Burgenland), and is one of the most celebrated producers of red wines in the country. This wine is a blend of mostly Merlot with Blaufränkisch and Zweigelt from the Salzberg vineyard. It is often described by the winery as the archetypal ‘iron first in a velvet glove’, as it is an intense and powerful wine yet always has great elegance and finesse.
