A refreshing 100% Grüner Veltliner. The Federspiel is a blend from several Wachau vineyards, including valley sites, hillsides and steep high terraces, gneiss and loess soils. A perfect introduction to the splendour of Wachau wine, with multi-faceted aromas of stone fruit and spice. Lithe and energetic on the palate, this delivers pure, sophisticated drinking pleasure. The Pichler family have been based in the village of Wösendorf since 1731, and bought their original cellar in 1884, finally planting their first vines twenty years after that. Today, the meticulous Rudolf Pichler IV cultivates fifteen hectares of vineyard including some of the acknowledged ‘grands crus’ of the Wachau.
