Rubicon Estate Cask Cabernet Sauvignon 2006

Rubicon Estate – now known as Inglenook – is a historic winery located in Rutherford. Founded in 1879 by Gustave Niebaum, the estate was later purchased by renowned filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola in 1975. Coppola has since been dedicated to restoring the winery`s legacy and producing high-quality wines. The Rubicon Estate Cask Cabernet Sauvignon is primarily composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, with small proportions of other Bordeaux varietals occasionally blended in to add complexity and balance. The 2006 vintage offers an expressive nose of ripe black currants, black cherries and plums, complemented by cedar, tobacco and sweet spices. On the palate, this full-bodied red displays notes of dark fruit, leather and earth, supported by well-structured tannins and spot-on acidity.
