Ron Abuelo is a rum brand produced by the Panamanian distillery Varela Hermanos, which was established in 1908. Made from the fermentation of molasses, this expression is aged for 7 years in small white oak barrels. The nose suggests notes of banana cake, toffee and a touch of wood. On the palate, it’s a full-bodied spirit, with buttery flavours mingling with dried fruits and mixed spices.
