The iconic estate is jointly owned by two families, the de Villaine and the Leroy, with Alexandre Bernier in place as cellar master following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. DRC has the monopole of two grand cru vineyards, including the eponymous Romanée-Conti, which produces this flagship cuvée from 1.8 hectares of old vines.
