Thomas Rivers Brown is one of the most highly regarded consultant winemakers currently working in California and, whilst helping to make wine at over 10 different wineries (incl. Schrader and Maybach), has quietly established his own highly revered range of cool climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the Sonoma Coast. The 2018 Old Vines Summa Vineyard Pinot Noir is produced from the oldest blocks of this acclaimed vineyard and displays greater density and breadth than its younger vine counterpart. It has classical notes of red and orange fruit, pine needles, violet flowers and crushed rock. Fine-boned and brilliantly elegant, this is California Pinot for Burgundy fans.
