Château Rieussec, Premier Cru Classé in 1855, has long been considered one of the greatest sweet wines in Sauternes. The 2009 vintage saw a blend of 84% Sémillon, 12% Sauvignon Blanc and 4% Muscadelle. Citrus and fresh fruit notes are complemented by candied apricot and fresh almond. On the palate, great length combined with the freshness and liveliness of the fruit. Dominant notes of honey and acacia flower. Sold in lovely half bottle.
