Remelluri Rioja Reserva 2016 is a full-bodied, Tempranillo-based red wine from the Rioja region of Spain. Founded by monks in the 14th century, the Remelluri winery was purchased by Jaime Rodríguez in 1967 and has been run by his son and daughter, Telmo and Amaia, since 2010. The Reserva is the estate`s flagship red and is produced from a blend of Tempranillo with smaller proportions of Graciano, Garnacha, Viura and Malvasía. The wine is aged for around 18 months in barrel spends a minimum of three years in the cellar before release. The result is rich and savoury, with dense colour and an attractive density of earthy red fruit, along with fine-grained tannins and crisp acidity.
