Quinta do Noval Nacional Vintage 2019 is an extremely rare and highly sought-after Port wine. It is produced by the renowned Portuguese winery Quinta do Noval, located in the heart of the Douro Valley. What makes Nacional Vintage Port so unique and valuable is that it is sourced exclusively from a small, 2-hectare vineyard parcel within the Quinta do Noval estate, known as ‘Nacional’. The vines in this particular parcel are ungrafted, which means they grow on their own rootstock rather than being grafted onto phylloxera-resistant rootstocks as most European vines are. This is possible because, for unknown reasons, the Nacional vineyard has remained unscathed by the phylloxera epidemic that devastated most of Europe`s vineyards in the late 19th century.
