Prima Maurodos 2021, crafted in the D.O. Toro region of Spain, is a blend primarily of Tempranillo, enriched by local varietals. The wine exhibits a deep ruby hue. On the nose, it presents ripe dark fruits, particularly blackberries and plums, alongside hints of leather and earthy nuances. Its medium to full body is characterised by balanced acidity and structured tannins, suggesting it may age further. Bodegas Maurodos, known for its traditional winemaking methods, underlines the region`s unique terroir of clay and sandy soils.
The 2021 Prima from Toro is garnet in hue. The wild herbal nose features strawberry and sour cherry notes. Dry and juicy on the palate, it has fine-grain, reactive tannins that lead to a taut, long-lasting finish. This is a new red wine that will develop beautifully with age.
