Prieler Johanneshöhe Blaufränkisch 2020 is a medium-bodied red wine from the Burgenland region of Austria. This is one of winemaker Georg Prieler`s personal favourite Blaufränkisch wines. It is made from grapes from different vineyards, almost all of which are planted on fossilised limestone soil. The wine is matured in large wooden casks for at least two years – sometimes three – before bottling. A poised and elegant red wine with notes of ripe blackberry and plum, complemented by hints of black pepper and violets, and fine, silky tannins.
