Port Ellen 43 Year Old Prima & Ultima Fourth Release is an age-statement Islay single malt whisky produced at the old Port Ellen Distillery and bottled as part of Diageo`s Prima & Ultima series of rare and exceptional whiskies. This is the oldest bottling of Port Ellen ever released. Distilled in 1978, it was drawn from the final American oak hogshead of that vintage at the distillery, where the whisky has remained for the entirety of its 43-year maturation. Just 413 bottles of this exceptionally rare single malt were filled.
