This is the second release in Piper Heidsieck`s range of impressively aged champagnes, which draws on the Maison’s oenological library to offer a more contemporary iteration of wines produced from the 1982 vintage. Aged on its lees for 39 long years, this champagne was disgorged in January 2022 and has a vibrant, fresh character with aromas of Mirabelle plums, tropical fruits, ginger and bergamot. The palate reveals notes of honey, roasted coffee beans, toasted bread, chalky minerality and ripe plums that linger in the finish.
