Penfolds Bin 389 2018

HED59721 75cl 14.5%
Often referred to as ‘Baby Grange’ due to its maturation in barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange, Bin 389 was first made in 1960 and is a multi-regional, multi-vineyard blend of Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The 2018 iteration is a wonderfully sumptuous yet fragrant blend of 57% Cabernet Sauvignon and 43% Shiraz sourced from the McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley, Padthaway, Coonawarra, Robe and Wrattonbully. Though enjoyable in youth, this would be best after a few more years bottle age and will almost certainly improve over the next few decades.
