Pedres Blanques 2019 is a medium-bodied, Grenache wine from the Coullioure appellation of Roussillon, south-west France. Pedres Blanques is the winemaking project of Japanese couple Rié and Hirofumi Shoji, who met while studying oenology in Beaune. To date, the pair make just one wine. a monovarietal Grenache from steep, schist slopes in coastal Coullioure. The wine is made with 100% whole-cluster fermentation using ambient yeast, with no pumping, no added sulphites, no fining and no filtration. A concentrated yet vertical expression of Grenache with beguiling notes of black and blue fruit, garrigue and olive tapenade.
