Paul Lato Cinematique Larner Vineyard Syrah 2006

HED90765 75cl 15%
Paul Lato Cinematique Larner Vineyard Syrah 2006 is a mature-vintage single-vineyard Syrah from the Ballard Canyon AVA in the Santa Barbara County of California. In recent years the Larner vineyard has become one of the most prized sites for Syrah in Santa Barbara County. Syrahs produced from this vineyard are concentrated yet elegant, with well-defined aromatics, and excellent texture and length - reminiscent of the Côte-Rôtie wines of the northern Rhône. The fruit for the 2006 Cinematique Syrah was fully destemmed and the wine was aged for 20 months in 60% new French oak. "Sexy notes of black raspberries, vanilla bean, bay leaf, ground pepper, and hints of crushed violets all emerge from this incredibly seamless, elegant, ethereal Syrah. Medium to full-bodied, deeply coloured, and concentrated, it`s no small wine, yet it always has a graceful, elegant style that builds beautifully with time in the glass. It has enough tannins to benefit from a year or three of bottle age and will drink brilliantly over the following decade or more." Jeb Dunnuck, 2019
