Ornellaia shows remarkable consistency and is rightly considered an Italian great. The 2007 is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. The nose is defined by wild berry fruit, spice and balsamic notes. The palate is smooth, intense and is supremely lengthy.
