Jean Paux-Rosset inherited Château La Négly in 1992 and, in partnership with oenologist Claude Gros, completely revamped and rejuvenated the estate to focus on high quality production of exceptional, terroir-driven wines. La Falaise is a blend of 55% Syrah, 40% Grenache and 5% Mourvèdre from AOP La Clape in the Languedoc and is aged for one year in foudres. It is bold and exuberant, with incredibly ripe aromas of black cherry and blackberry, interwoven with subtle hints of dark chocolate and olive tapenade. Full-bodied, supple and creamy, this is a characterful wine that would benefit from decanting and serving alongside food.
