Nanbu Bijin – which translates to ‘southern beauty’ – is a long-standing Japanese brewery established in 1902. This 2014 vintage Junmai sake is quite unique in which it’s made from 100% Koji rice, whereas other sakes are usually made with 80% of steamed rice and 20% of Koji rice. The result is a rich, multi-layered expression, filled with vanilla, toffee and nutty flavours. Also suitable for bottle ageing.
