Founded in 1823, Mortlach is a historical whisky distillery based in Dufftown and currently owned by Diageo. It is one of only three distilleries using `partial triple distillation` as also practised at Benrinnes and Springbank. Launched in October 2022, this expression is part of Diageo’s Special Releases 2022 and was matured in a combination of American oak, virgin oak, Tawny Port and Red Muscat wine casks. Expect a meaty character, complemented by notes of red berries, gingerbread and black pepper.
