Armand Heitz is a young and dynamic winemaker who took over his family’s estate in Chassagne-Montrachet in 2012 – now renamed Domaine Armand Heitz. He is committed to the most sustainable way of cultivating grapes and is developing a permaculture-based working method. This particular release comes from Monts Luisants, a 5.4-hectare Premier Cru located in the far northwestern corner of the Morey-Saint-Denis vineyard belt. While Mont Luisants makes some noteworthy Pinot Noir, the vineyard is best known for its white wines made from Chardonnay and Aligoté.
