Château de Chamilly is a historical wine estate situated in the hamlet of Chamilly, just outside Montagny. Owned since the 19th century by the Desfontaine family, the domaine produces wines from vineyards in Montagny and Mercurey, and also has some holdings in the Côte de Beaune. This is their 2019 ‘Les Burnins’, a Montagny premier cru vineyard situated in the south of the Côte Chalonnais. The vineyard is named after the habits [the robe de bure] of the Benedictine monks who worked this plot of land centuries ago.
