Winemaker Gutier Seijo Otero, formerly the technical director of the highly sought-after Dominio do Bibei in Ribeira Sacra, is on a quest to discover exceptional vineyards and indigenous grapes that embody the cultural history and landscape along the Miño River. ‘Mixtura’ transcends geographical boundaries, as Gutier unites sites from both Galicia and Melgaço in northern Portugal to craft a distinctive, cross-regional blend characterized by shared soil and climatic conditions. The outcome is truly remarkable, featuring flavours of lime and lemon zest, green apple, wet stones, and a rich, smoky finish. The oak is smooth and well-rounded due to 12 months of aging in Austrian oak foudres.
