Midleton Very Rare 2018 is a marriage of various casks of grain and malt whiskey, the youngest of which is no younger than 12 years of age. The nose blends sweet malt with a hint of biscuit, some fresh cut green apple and a light floral aroma. The palate is light and clean with notes of banana bread and spice. Yet another great release from Midleton and proof that Brian Nation is a worthy successor to the now retired Master Distiller Barry Crocket.
