One of the oldest estates in the Médoc, Château Meyney is a Cabernet-driven red hailing from St Estèphe. The 2012 vintage is produced from a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 18% Petit Verdot. On the nose, notes of black fruits with peppery spice and well integrated woody notes carrying through on the harmonious palate.
The 2012 Meyney offers mainly red fruit on the nose laced with soy and peppery notes, moderate in terms of complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, quite structured with good weight, though it is missing some precision towards the finish that feels a tad bitter.
