The Spring Mountain District AVA sits above St Helena on the eastern slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains and has been the source for one of Lokoya’s four site-specific Cabernet Sauvignon bottlings since the winery`s inception in 2005. The 2011 is an admirable effort from a complex vintage and shows the true prowess of winemaker, Chris Carpenter, and the unbelievable work that occurs in their special vineyards. This is rich, full-bodied and displays exceptional intensity. Though possibly less long-lived than other iterations, there is certainly no shortage of drinking pleasure here.
