Château l’Hermitage is a cuvée that was produced by Saint-Émilion property, Château Matras, which has a history dating all the way back to the 12th Century. In 2011 the estate was purchased by the owners of Château Canon and produced under this label has since ceased, with the vines now being used for their second wine, Clos/Croix Canon. 1982 was widely regarded as one of the greatest vintages of all time in Bordeaux.
