‘Legado Fernando Guedes’ is a premium red wine produced by Sogrape Vinhos, the leading wine company in Portugal. Fernando Guedes was the founder of Sogrape and played a significant role in the development of the Portuguese wine industry. The wine is named in his honour. ‘Legado’ is crafted with grapes sourced from some of the best vineyards in the area. It is a blend of traditional Douro grape varieties, such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca and Tinta Roriz. The 2016 vintage is noted for its good quality, and the wine is expected to showcase the characteristics of the region. intense dark fruit flavours, firm tannins and good acidity, with additional notes of spices, herb and minerality.
