Le Pergole Torte 2012 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Sangiovese grapes in the Chianti sub-region of Tuscany, central Italy. The international reputation of Montevertine`s Le Pergole Torte speaks for itself. The first vintage of this wine was released was the 1977 and was the first 100% Sangiovese to be produced in the Radda in Chianti area. The grapes are carefully selected from Montevertine`s oldest vineyards, which were planted between 1968 and 1999. The wine is aged for one year in Allier oak barriques and one year in Slavonian oak barrels. Adorned with its iconic labelling produced by artist Alberto Manfredi, Le Pergole Torte is a truly legendary wine. "The 2012 Le Pergole Torte is brilliant.
