Telmo Rodriguez`s Rioja wines are among the best, partly because they exclusively use perfectly ripe grapes from the finest, highest-altitude vineyards, and La Estrada is one of them. The wine has a fine and dense dark colour, along with elegant and extremely aromatic notes, with undertones of strawberries, blackberries, and green herbs. The vineyard covers a mere 0.64 hectares, and only 1279 bottles are produced each year.
