With a long and fascinating history that goes back to the 16th century, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti needs no introduction. The world-famous estate is co-owned by the de Villaine and Leroy families, with Alexandre Bernier in place as cellar master, following the retirement of Bernard Noblet in 2018. La Tâche is one of DRC’s monopoles since 1933 and these wines are regarded as the finest expressions of Pinot Noir. This release is from the 2003 vintage, which was marked by heatwaves across Europe. Despite that, La Tâche 2003 is perfectly balanced, exuding notes of violets, fresh red cherries, cassis and a touch of nougat.
