Founded in 1638, Kopke is universally recognised as the first Port House in the industry’s history and has an incredible reputation for their range of Colheita Tawny Ports which are made from a single harvest, aged in wood for as long as possible and are only bottled upon commission. This wonderful wine from the year 2000 exhibits a rich and concentrated bouquet redolent of sweet dried fruits, toasted nuts and exotic spices. It is smooth and velvety on the palate, with ample refreshing acidity and a long, savoury finish, making it delicious when paired with pecan, almond or walnut desserts.
