This is a beautiful example of Stellenbosch Chenin Blanc from 40-year-old dry-grown bush vines, with fermentation taking place in seasoned 400-litre French oak barrels and maturation also in barrels for an additional 8 months. The result is a vibrant, rich and silky wine, with delicious layers of citrus, quince and pear, interwoven by subtle notes of wild herbs and honeysuckle. A wonderful wine to drink in youth but could easily age for up to a decade.
