Founded in 2010, Sweden’s High Coast Distillery produces both heavily peated and unpeated whisky under production managers Roger Melander and Lars Karlsson. Älv - which translates to ‘river’ in Swedish – is a single malt that spent 6 years in first fill bourbon casks, so it’s filled with those buttery vanilla flavours. The whiskey was bottled in 2016 at 46% ABV, with a release of 8,259 bottles.
