The Henschke family have been making wine at their estate in the Eden Valley since 1868. Fifth-generation winemaker Stephen Henschke took over running the winery in 1979. `Hill of Roses` is produced from 100% Shiraz vines grown in the iconic Henschke Hill of Grace vineyard in the Eden Valley.
On the nose, the 2017 displays perfumed aromas of garden florals together with red and black fruit, crushed herbs and cedar notes. A concentrated core of plush red plum and raspberry on the palate, layered with blackberry, blueberry, anise, musk and black pepper. Textural, mature, velvety tannins carry an elegantly long finish.
