Guelbenzu’s history dates back to 1851 but it was not until 1992, under the direction of Don Ricardo Guelbenzu, that a new range of wines emerged and set in motion a new era of growth and development. The 2013 Evo is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Grenache from a single vineyard, Finca La Lombana, in the Ribera del Queiles municipality of Navarra. It bold and intense with notes of ripe blackberry, cassis and blueberry with subtle notes of balsamic, coffee beans and dark chocolate. Full-bodied, mouthcoating and rich, this would be the ideal pairing for roasted beef or lamb.
