Palo Cortado is a less commonly produced style of sherry often with the aromatic refinement of an Amontillado but with the body of an Oloroso. This is a particularly rare sherry as it comes from a single vintage rather than a blend of multiple years aged in a solera system. Whilst produced in this way due to their innate complexities and character, they often feel slightly more evolved than corresponding solera-based wines of similar age as they do not have the benefit of younger wines being blended in. This is a gloriously perfumed and expressive sherry, with wonderfully intense flavours and marvellous layers of savoury complexity. Only 992 bottles released.
