This is a 2012 bottling of 1975 vintage Glencraig single malt, released independently by Gordon & MacPhail as part of their Rare Old series. The nose is sweet and fruity, with tropical fruits and vanilla. There is a spicy edge with charred oak and orange undertones. The palate is initially dry and earthy, with a subtle spiciness. Notes of dark chocolate and orange peel emerge too.
