Domaine Saint Damien is a winery situated in the village and appellation of Gigondas, in the southern Rhône. Founded by Joël Suarel in 1979, the estate spans 45 hectares across the region, with one-third in Gigondas itself. This cuvée is a blend of Grenache and Mourvèdre, from old vines located on the lower terraces of the Gigondas appellation in a lieu-dit called ‘Les Souteyrades’. The 2009 vintage in the Southern Rhône experienced an ideal growing season, yielding wines that were luxurious and rich, characterized by intense fruit flavours, deep colour, and velvety tannins.
